Description
Camp Laurel South is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sailing Counselor to join our waterfront team for an unforgettable summer. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where campers can build confidence on the water while developing their sailing skills.
As a Sailing Counselor, you will lead daily instructional sessions for campers of all experience levels, from beginners learning the basics to more advanced sailors refining their technique. You’ll be responsible for teaching core sailing skills, promoting water safety, and ensuring proper use and care of all equipment. Beyond instruction, you’ll play an active role in the camp community—building meaningful relationships with campers, encouraging personal growth, and contributing to the energy and spirit that make Camp Laurel South special.

Requirements
- Prior sailing experience required (instructing experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sailing fundamentals, water safety, and basic boat maintenance
- Ability to teach and engage campers of varying ages and skill levels
- Confident leading groups on the water while maintaining a safe, fun environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to creating a positive camp experience
