- Fishing Counselor
Description
Camp Laurel South is looking for a passionate Fishing Counselor to lead one of our most relaxing and rewarding waterfront activities. In this role, you’ll create a fun, supportive environment where campers can learn the fundamentals of fishing while building patience, confidence, and an appreciation for nature.
As a Fishing Counselor, you will teach campers of all skill levels—whether it’s their first time casting a line or they’re eager to refine their technique. You’ll cover skills such as casting, knot tying, baiting hooks, fish identification, and responsible catch-and-release practices. You’ll also ensure a safe and well-organized program by maintaining equipment, supervising waterfront activities, and following all safety protocols.
Beyond the fishing program, you’ll be an active member of the camp community—living in a cabin, mentoring campers, and contributing to the energy, traditions, and spirit that make Camp Laurel South such a special place.
