Company Profile

Camp Susan Curtis

Company Overview

The Mission of Camp Susan Curtis is to provide a transformative camp experience that nurtures self-confidence and a sense of belonging in Maine children facing economic hardship.

Company History

Camp Susan Curtis is the legacy of 11 year old Susan and her family-Governor Curtis, First Lady Polly Curtis, and sister Angela. Susan passed away at the age of 11 from cystic fibrosis while her father was the Governor of Maine (1968-1974). Her prominence in the community inspired donations in her name which were then used to vision Camp Susan Curtis. Promoting physical, mental, emotional, and social health for Maine children for nearly 50 years, CSC is located in a pristine Western Maine location and serves 500 campers per year with 70% returning from past years.
