Description

Camp Walden is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to support the mental, emotional, social, and overall well-being of campers and staff in our residential summer camp community.

This immersive, on-site role works collaboratively with camp leadership, health staff, and counselors to ensure every camper feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. The position focuses on coaching and supporting staff while also providing direct camper care when needed.

Ideal candidates bring experience in camp, education, counseling, social work, psychology, or related youth-serving fields, along with strong interpersonal skills, warmth, flexibility, and a love for camp life.

Requirements

• Experience in camp, education, counseling, social work, psychology, or youth-serving settings
• Strong background in child & adolescent development and group dynamics
• Warm, calm, flexible, and solution-oriented
• Skilled at building trust with children, teens, and adults
• Comfortable supporting and coaching staff
• Organized, discreet, and professional
• A sense of humor and genuine love for camp life (singing off-key encouraged!)
