Description
Camp Kippewa is a dynamic all-girls overnight camp situated in the scenic landscape of Monmouth, Maine. Our camp offers a traditional camping experience for girls aged 7-15, featuring personalized activity scheduling, a supportive atmosphere, top-notch instruction, and infectious enthusiasm.
Kippewa is looking for excited to individuals to join our Waterfront Staff. This role is a dual role, one part of the job is living and working with your cabin: eating, living, and taking part in the daily rhythms together: inside jokes, sing-alongs during cabin-clean-up, dressing up together during evening activity! Serving as your campers go-to to ensure a safe, fun, and supported overnight camp experience.
During the program day, you'll teach campers in one or more of Waterfront Activity areas. Water-Skiiing/Wake-boarding, Sailing, Paddle Sports, or Swim Instruction. Small-group instruction means helping a camper see what's possible for them on the beauty of our Lake Cobbosseecontee. You'll be safety-minded as a trained lifeguard and patient as a camper tries to improve their skills or try new ones in any of the above areas.
Requirements
- Prior experience and excitement to teach in one of the following areas: Water-Skiing, Wakeboarding, Sailing, Paddle Sports or Swim Instruction
- Ability to pass or already hold American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
- Live on-site in a children's focused community from June 4- August 11th, opportunities for additional post-camp work lifeguarding
- Enthusiasm for Outdoor Living and serving as a role model to girls aged 7 to 15
