We’re looking for an enthusiastic Sailing Instructor/Cabin Counselor who loves working with youth and wants to share their passion for sailing in a fun, supportive camp environment.
About the Role
As a Sailing Instructor, you’ll teach campers the fundamentals of sailing while ensuring a safe and engaging waterfront experience. When you’re not on the water, you’ll live in a cabin with campers and help create the positive, inclusive culture that makes camp special.
Responsibilities
- Teach sailing lessons to campers of various skill levels
- Ensure safety on the waterfront and follow all boating protocols
- Supervise and mentor campers as a cabin counselor
- Help plan and lead camp activities, games, and evening programs
- Work as part of a supportive, energetic staff team
- Be a positive role model for campers throughout the summer

Requirements
- Experience sailing (teaching experience is a plus)
- Comfortable working with youth (ages 6-16 years)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willing and able to pass a lifeguard course (training provided at camp)
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and ready for a fun summer
- Available for the full summer season, June 15 - August 18 in Hope, Maine
