- Residential Camp Counselor
Description
Your Most Meaningful Summer Starts Here
Trade your routine for 100 acres of Maine wilderness and a summer that actually changes lives — including yours.
We're a girls' wilderness summer camp on the shores of Lovejoy Pond in Readfield, Maine, and we're looking for passionate, compassionate women to join our counselor team this summer. Our campers are young girls navigating real challenges, and our counselors are the grounded, caring humans who show them a different path. Some staff are alumnae while others grew up in foster care and bring lived understanding no textbook can teach. Together, they create something extraordinary.
What You'll Do
Live side-by-side with your campers in wooden cabins with the youngest girls or canvas tents on wooden platforms with older ones, teaching activities, building trust, and becoming the kind of role model you maybe wish you'd had. It's real, it's raw, and it's incredibly rewarding.
What You Get
Housing and meals included for the full season
Professional training June 12–20 (Red Cross CPR & First Aid, Children's Mental Health, Driver Safety, and more)
100 lakeside acres as your office
A team of 35 women who are in it for all the right reasons
The kind of summer you'll talk about for the rest of your life
What We're Looking For
You don't need a perfect resume; you need the right heart. We hire from a wide range of backgrounds because our campers deserve to see themselves in the people who support them. We're looking for women who have a genuine devotion to helping girls at risk, emotional intelligence and compassion to spare, positive social and emotional health, and the grit to face challenges head-on. Ability to pass a background check required.
Apply if you're ready to show up fully — for yourself and for the girls who need you most.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

Willingness to face and overcome challenges
Ability to work among a diverse peer group
