Camp Ketcha | Summer 2026 (June 15 – August 26)
Starting at $17.50/hr | Age 18+
Do you enjoy building fires, creating shelters, and spending time outdoors? Do you want to help kids feel more confident and capable outside?
Camp Ketcha is hiring an Outdoor Living Skills Instructor to lead hands-on activities that teach campers ages 4 to 14 practical outdoor skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
What you’ll do:
Teach foundational outdoor skills such as shelter building, fire safety, and basic navigation
Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that build confidence and resilience
Help campers develop comfort and independence in outdoor settings
Adapt lessons for different ages, abilities, and group needs
Maintain a safe and organized program area
Training provided:
Camp Ketcha will cover the cost of a professional Outdoor Living Skills training at Camp Wyonegonic prior to the start of camp. This is a great opportunity to build your own skills while preparing to teach others.
What we’re looking for:
Interest in outdoor skills, camping, or backcountry living
Enjoys working with children and being outside
Responsible, safety-minded, and attentive
Comfortable leading groups and giving clear instruction
Positive, patient, and encouraging
This is an active outdoor role where you’ll spend your days teaching skills, building confidence, and helping campers connect with the outdoors in a meaningful way.

Requirements
- Age 18+
- CPR/First Aid Certification Required - We offer low cost classes before the start of camp season
