Description
Camp Modin, a 103-year-old premier, co-ed residential camp is looking for dynamic and dedicated individuals to make a difference in the lives of children. Located on a private, unspoiled lake in Maine, our friendly atmosphere provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and develop lifelong friendships. Modin has over 60 athletic, waterfront, creative arts, and pioneering activities. Take advantage of our top-notch facilities while meeting new and exciting people. Come join the Modin family!
Many of our staff, from a variety of majors, have been able to get internship credit through their schools. We provide great salaries, as well as housing, laundry, and meals for the summer.
A little bit about the job: As a counselor, you would be working and living in a cabin with a group of children (our kids range from 7-16 years) and participating in activities, sports, field trips, etc. What sets Modin apart is the magnificent waterfront nestled on the shores of Salmon Lake and our breathtaking facilities include over one hundred watercraft (including sailboats, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, pedal boats, and four tournament Malibu waterski boats), a state-of-the-art fitness facility, a gymnastics gym, a dance studio, three soccer fields, a new baseball facility, brand new tennis and pickleball courts, and more!
Our General Counselors supervise campers throughout the day at meals, at activities, and in the bunks! General Counselors get to experience all of the activities that we do at camp, with your campers! We are looking for both male and female general counselors to work with our campers, ages 7-16!
Our Specialists are responsible for running one of our camp programs, where they can share their skills with all of the campers at the camp, who rotate through our activities. They also get involved with the campers in the bunks at meal times, in the evenings, and on trips.
